Global News Spotlighting Bryson for Community-Building Efforts
Bryson Insurance was in the spotlight recently for its continuing community-building efforts during what has been a challenging year.
Global News, looking back on a year of COVID in Canada, featured Bryson in a piece airing on its Durham newscast on March 26, 2021.
The story focused on the resiliency of businesses and their efforts to find ways to keep giving back to the community during these trying times. Natalie Prychitko, CEO of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce, acknowledged Bryson and the business community at large for continuing community-building efforts.
“We didn’t want to lose some of the things we do in the community just because we couldn’t do them in the same way,” said Kyle Paterson, Bryson’s Director of Culture and Business Development, who, as part of the feature, highlighted such Bryson initiatives as a campaign to deliver lunches to the entire team at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Services and the pivot from the always successful annual Pumpkin Giveaway to Bryson’s Big Virtual Raffle.
“With the community coming on board to participate, Bryson raised and donated $10,000 to Community Care Durham’s COPE Mental Health programming.” Mr. Paterson went on to express his gratitude to the Durham community. “It is through our clients’ kindness and willingness to adapt that our team has the capacity and energy to continue to find ways to contribute to a brighter tomorrow,” he said.
