The 2021 Big Bryson Raffle Results!

Published On: December 9th, 2021Categories: Newsroom, Wellness

We were hoping to “give‘em pumpkin to talk about” this year but, for the second year in a row, COVID-19 scared away our plans to “creep it real”. Our Pumpkin Day was a virtual event once again.  The pandemic, however, didn’t scare away our community supporters.  The Big Bryson Virtual Raffle was once again a “fa-boo-lous” event!!

This year, our internal goal was to create 20 Bryson Care Packs for  Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences Outpatient Transition Fund. The Patient Transition Fund ensures former patients have their most basic needs met. As patients transition out of the hospital and back into the community, they often struggle in the short term with paying for necessities, such as food or rent. This gap in care creates an unsafe environment leading to readmission to the hospital.

Each Bryson Care Pack = $500. So, our goal was to raise $10,000…how did we do?

Drum roll, please…

Through the efforts of our community, prize donors, partners (insurance and industry), and YOU (our raffle ticket purchasers), we collectively raised $11,500 or 23 Bryson Care Packages!

$11,500 = 23 Bryson Care Packages!

That is 23 people we have collectively helped get back on their feet after visiting Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Services – 23 people with 23 families in 23 communities.

Kudos and thank you.

We are grateful to be able to do this with, and for, such a great community.
